Alba Filter

Slower days, perfected.

Ethiopian Gogogu, Guji Highlands

£15.00
Sale price  £15.00 Regular price

Alba Filter is a bright, elegant Ethiopian coffee sourced from smallholder farms in the highlands of Guji. Grown at close to 2,000 metres and processed at the Gogogu washing station, it’s a coffee defined by altitude, clarity and precision.

A careful 60–72 hour fermentation, followed by slow drying, brings out a clean and expressive cup with soft vanilla, brown sugar sweetness and a lifted peach note that carries through every sip.

Brewed as a pour-over, Alba Filter really comes into its own — showcasing its delicate fruit character, clean structure and refined balance.

Light, modern and quietly complex, this is a coffee made for slower mornings, focused work and everyday rituals with a little more intention.

Where is Ruby Alba coffee roasted?

Ruby Alba coffee is roasted in partnership with our roaster in Glasgow, Scotland.

Each coffee is roasted with care to bring out its natural balance, body and character — whether it’s a smooth everyday blend or a more expressive single origin.

Which grind should I choose?

Choose the option that best suits how you brew your coffee:

Whole Bean
Best if you have a grinder and want the freshest possible cup.

Espresso Grind
Designed for espresso machines and milk-based drinks like flat whites, lattes and cappuccinos.

Filter Grind
Best for pour-over, drip coffee, AeroPress and cafetière-style brewing.

What size bag should I choose?

Our coffees are available in 250g and 1kg bags.

250g is ideal for trying a new coffee, gifting, or keeping your rotation fresh.

1kg is best for regular drinkers, busy homes, offices, studios or anyone who doesn’t want to run out.

Can I subscribe to regular coffee deliveries?

Yes. Ruby Alba subscriptions are available on selected coffees, including Alba Filter, Founders Blend, Joga Bonito and Ruby House.

You can choose your bag size, brew type and delivery frequency, with subscriptions available every 2 weeks or every month.

Do subscriptions include a discount?

Yes. Ruby Alba subscriptions include 10% off eligible recurring coffee orders, making it easier to keep your coffee stocked while saving on every delivery.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes. You can cancel, pause, skip or manage your subscription using the link in your order confirmation email or customer account area, where available.

Changes or cancellations should be made before your next order is processed. Once an order has been processed, packed or dispatched, we may not be able to cancel or change that delivery.

How should I store my coffee?

Store your coffee in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, moisture and strong odours.

Once opened, reseal the bag properly after each use. For best flavour, we recommend using your coffee within a reasonable period after opening.

Which coffee is best for espresso?

For espresso and milk-based drinks, Ruby House, Founders Blend and Joga Bonito are all strong choices.

Ruby House is bold and full-bodied, Founders Blend is smooth and balanced, and Joga Bonito brings a rich, rounded sweetness.

Which coffee is best for filter brewing?

Alba Filter is our most filter-focused coffee. It’s a washed Ethiopian coffee with notes of peach, vanilla and brown sugar, designed for clarity, balance and a lighter cup.

Ruby House, Founders Blend and Joga Bonito can also be brewed as filter if you prefer a richer, fuller style.

Can I return coffee if I change my mind?

Unopened coffee may be returned in line with our Returns & Refunds Policy, provided it is sealed, unused and in its original condition.

As coffee is a fresh consumable product, opened coffee cannot be returned unless it is faulty, damaged or incorrect.
